At Together Let’s Rise, our mission is to uplift, heal, and empower system-impacted transitional-aged youth and their families in marginalized communities. We walk alongside those affected by incarceration, trauma, and systemic oppression, offering unwavering support through mental health care, education, housing, workforce development, family reunification, and mentorship. 

​With a compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach, we create pathways to stability, hope, and self-determination; helping individuals rewrite their narratives and reclaim their futures.​

Together Let's Rise Vision is to break the cycle of violence, crime, and incarceration in South Los Angeles by providing a holistic, trauma informed, strength-based, and culturally responsive approach. We aim to uplift the most vulnerable among us, those who have been silenced, criminalized, and cast aside through our holistic support programs. We envision walking with them through every step of their healing and re-entry journey with one unwavering message: You are not alone, and your story isn’t over.

Who is Together Lets Rise?

In the United States, 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness, and 700,000 are unaccompanied minors - meaning they are not part of a family or accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

• 43 % of homeless youth experience depression, compared to 28 % of housed youth 
• 1 in 12 African American youth are likely to experience homelessness
• Latino youth are more likely to be first-time homeless in Los Angeles than other ethnic groups. 
• Transgender and nonbinary youth are more likely to experience homelessness and housing instability 

Research shows that investing in homelessness would be more cost-effective for taxpayers than not addressing youth homelessness, as providing support like housing and services to young people experiencing homelessness can significantly reduce future costs associated with health care, criminal justice involvement, and long-term reliance on social services; essentially, preventing from becoming chronically homeless adults in life. 

Together Let's Rise aims to support families impacted by incarceration and homelessness for a more holistic and compassionate approach to criminal justice reform.

Together Let's Rise Is Making a Major and Positive Impact

Recidivism rates are over 50% in Los Angeles and considered the gang capital of the nation with roughly 450 active gangs and over 45,000 members. There is lack of access to client-centered services in the community.

​Together Let’s Rise goal is to provide a comprehensive program, diversion and reentry programs that empower and strengthen children, incarcerated and formally incarcerated individuals, families, and communities.
